Gladiator in Chariot Pulled by Horses Sculpture

This sculpture depicts a Roman chariot with a driver and two horses. It is an art piece figurine intended to represent a Roman soldier or gladiator in a biga, which is a chariot pulled by two horses. It may be made of carved alabaster, composite stone or resin. It appears to be signed/carved with "L. Toni" in the back. It comes with a very heavy marbled base (perhaps a marble slab or similar), but the statue is not attached to the base. This was owned by a world-traveler and was among her many unique collectibles. It is vintage and in good used condition, as shown, sold as-is. The base is approximately 4.2" wide x 9.75" long x .75" high and the figurine is an additional 8.5" high.
